Dr. Ariel Smith Roman joined the team in July 2025. She began her career at Tuder Veterinary Group, a walk-in clinic with locations in Hoboken, Jersey City, and Bayonne, before moving to Maywood Veterinary Clinic and later spending a year doing relief work. Dr. Smith Roman has a special interest in feline medicine and preventive care. When not in the clinic, she enjoys cooking, traveling, spending time at the beach, and being with her two young children. She shares her home with her husband, two sons, two cats—Winston and Toby—and two dogs—Furphy and Kai.

Veterinarian
Dr. Joel Friedman founded St. Georges Veterinary Hospital in 1978 after earning his DVM from the University of the Philippines. With interests in dermatology, dentistry, parasitology, and internal medicine, he has long been dedicated to patient care. Now enjoying semi-retirement, Dr. Friedman spends time with family, his Scottish Terrier Molly, and his many passions - sports, golf, pickleball, concerts, and baseball history - while still greeting clients at the hospital each summer.

Medical Director
Dr. Vivian Ng, Medical Director at St. Georges, earned her DVM from Atlantic Veterinary College in 2009. With 14 years of experience, she specializes in geriatric pet care and is dedicated to preserving the human-animal bond through compassionate, personalized medicine. At home, she enjoys life with her cat Archie, tuxedo cat Betty, and Shih Tzu Bubbio.
