Veterinarians
A native of Hightstown, New Jersey, General Practitioner Dr. Pamela M. Mark has spent more
than 24 years as a practicing veterinarian. Her work has included small animal care,
providing services to New Jersey's racetracks, and she is certified to issue International
Health Certificates to pets leaving the country.
Dr. Mark attended John's Hopkins University where she earned a BA in Natural Sciences in 1980. That same year she entered the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 1984 with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Her areas of particular veterinary interest include preventative medicine, dermatology and zoonotic diseases.
Dr. Mark is bilingual in Spanish and is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Metropolitan New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association, and Tri-State Collie Rescue. She also has previous radio experience on WPENN/WDVR related to her veterinary work.
At home, Dr. Mark has two Collies named Ashley II and Sailor; six cats named PD, Cat, Fiolet, Kitty Kat, Calista and Calliope; as well as horses and a flock of egg-laying chickens. She is also a professional cake decorator and likes pastry baking, organic gardening, impressionist art, and participating in her church's food bank.
